Leave it to the PROS!
I’ve been wanting to write about this for a while now. There’s a reason why people are specialists in their line of work and experts at their craft. You probably wouldn’t seek help from a Chef on issues you’re having with your car, unless he was a mechanic in a past life right?
So leave it to the Professionals! In this instance, I’d like to highlight the people behind the lens- the photographers. If you’re looking to bump up your marketing to promote your business or feature products/services/etc, hire a PROfessional photographer! Photographers are creative visionaries in their own way. They have this special magic to capture a mood, or a moment, and even make you feel something. Professional photos can take your marketing efforts up a notch. And when you invest in presenting your business professionally, people will notice and take you seriously. You can only do so much with an Iphone guys, so take pride in marketing your business and trust in a professional to do their job. It makes a major difference. Think about it- if you see a blurry photo of a product on a company's business page or their website, would you really consider buying it? It's all about presentation and you are constantly putting on a show for your audience.
Here are some benefits to hiring a photographer:
High quality photos that you can be proud of on your website and across your social media channels.
BUILD CONTENT! You'll have so many photos, you won't know what to do with them all! A plethora of photos for use at your convenience. This can seriously help you plan out your social media schedule and stay ahead.
Marketing collateral- You can use these photos for marketing campaigns, newsletters, ads, flyers, posters, etc.
So when preparing for a photoshoot with your photographer, be sure to go over what you're trying to achieve. Discuss the ideas and vision you have in mind and plan ahead for your photoshoot so that you are ready to go the day of.
This leads me into a touchy subject. Work smarter not harder. Have you ever been that person who thinks they can do it all? Or have you worked for someone who thought they could? As much as we'd like to think we're a Jack or Jill of all trades, in most scenarios it's best to leave it to the pro's. If you're a business owner, your time is extremely valuable. Instead of trying to take on a new skill like photography, you could be dedicating time to other important tasks. Don't waste time trying to figure it out just to save money or create shortcuts that only end up holding you back.
In all scenarios, leave it to the Pro's. The talented, skilled, experienced individuals that have a true eye and passion for their craft.
To close out this blog, I’d like to highlight my dear photographer friend Theresa Dimapalis and her photography company, Moments of Your Life Photography. I met Miss Theresa almost 10 years ago at a charity event and she was the Boss Lady behind the camera covering the night's festivities. I'm thankful that we have remained close because she is like a big sister to me:) Theresa is a PRO in her craft and has captured some wonderful memories, including a few of my own. A big moment in my life- the launch of my business! I couldn't think of anyone better for the job. I'd also like to congratulate Theresa on celebrating 10 years of Moments of Your Life Photography! So much love to you Theresa! & a toast to 10 years in the biz and to many more!
